 History of Home Plate Diner, one of the most popular restaurants in  Amarillo, Texas.
Serving good old home style cookin' since 1947
My family and I came to Amarillo in 1997 and opened Home Plate Diner as a  locally owned full service restaurant with a home style menu and very inexpensive offering that are served with family pride.

We were immediately very successful and have developed a loyal following over the years.  Our concept of offering great value has been especially successful during tight economic times.  Locals in Amarillo and visitors to the area do not have to spend a fortune to enjoy an enjoyable meal for lunch or dinner.

We are proud to call Amarillo, Texas home now and will continue to find ways to meet the needs of the area.
